Mixed Feelings

Hi everyone,
.
I am sitting here writing this post not exactly sure what I am feeling. You see, I got news yesterday that my uncle has passed away. Although I am sad for the loss and will miss him, I also know that he is in a much better place. I have no doubt that he has gone to be with the Lord. He has been battling cancer for the last two years and was in a lot of pain his last couple of days. My joy comes with knowing that now he is pain free, so much more alive than any of us still here on Earth. My pain is for my dear aunt, who is struggling with how she will live without him. So please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She needs God's comfort now.
.
Every month Cindy, from Emma's Paperie, shares a color inspiration with us and asks us to create a project using that inspiration. These are some of my favorite assignments. I love having that jumping off point. I have to admit though, when I saw this photo, all I could think of was Christmas colors. I was not sure what I was going with this picture.
.
.
As it turns out I am quite happy with the way this project turned out. Hope you enjoy it too. You can find the supply list on the Emma's Paperie Blog.

I'm in this boat now and I so understand. My love, thoughts and prayers are with you my friend! And your poor Aunt...How long were they married? That will be very hard for her.

Such a sweet card! Love how you made what appeared to be holiday-like colors seem so Spring like!

I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I fully understand the mixed feelings of losing someone who has struggled during their final days. I experienced the same with both of my grandparents in the past few years. Much love to you all.
