Are you getting excited? Do you have special plans? If you are looking for something fun to do, why not join us for a blog hop? The girls from Magistical Memories are hosting a hop that promises to give you a chance for some awesome prizes.

Here's how it works, you start at the Magistical Memories blog (you will then come back to my blog later). From there you will be linked to the blog of one of the design team members. That DT member will then link you to another blog and so on and so forth. All you need to do is leave a comment on each blog. With each comment you get another chance to win a prize. At the end of the hop Crystle will draw one name to win the grand prize. Now here is the amazing part. You should see this grand prize!!!!!

Are you ready to see this??????

You are NOT going to believe what Crystle is giving away!!!!!!!!

Check this out!!!!!!!!!

YES, that is a 8GB iPod Nano! Can you believe that??? With each blog you visit and each comment you leave, you will have another chance at winning! Make sure to leave your e-mail address so we can get a hold of you if you win. I will also be giving a gift certificate away for some fabulous chipboard to one lucky winner as well.

Here's how to increase your chances of winning...
1. Leave a comment with your email address on the Magistical Memories Blog.
2. Become a Follower on the Magistical Memories blog.
3. Create a layout using chipboard and upload it into the Magistical Memories Blog Hop gallery.
4. Leave a comment here in this post. ( Don't forget to include your e-mail address)
5. Hop from one design team members blog to the next and leave a comment on each blog! Check out Crystle's blog next.

Crystle will also be giving away these adorable chippies with every $25 purchase. Aren't they awesome?

There are also a bunch of new chipboard pieces being released this weekend in honor of NSD. My mind is swirling with all the possibilites. I can't wait to get my hands on some of those. In order to make room for the new items Magistical Memories is retiring some chipboard so make sure to check those out too.

I have a special Magistical Memories project I worked on just in time for Mother's Day. I made this little gift box using the Nesting Heart and a scalloped photo corner. Lots of other yummy goodies on here too.

Have you already been to all the other Magistical Memories DT blogs? Don't miss Crystle's blog to wrap up your hop. If you have missed one or two you find links on the left side of my blog.

Have a great weekend and good luck!!!!

Off to a Good Start

I am really starting to enjoy our neighborhood already! We moved from a neighborhood of about 400 homes to one that has approximately 20. There are still empty lots but it will never bee too big. Anyway, I think I posted last week that a friend of ours joked that the neighborhood is all girls and dogs (the dogs freak my cat out a little bit) LOL. If you have been following my blog you know that I had been praying for God to send us friends for the girls. He has gone over and above! Saturday was wonderful!!! The girls spent the whole day running around with about 9 little girls. :) That night we had two neighbor families over for burgers and all 7 little girls ran around all night with not a single disagreement or hurt feeling (that is amazing if you know little girls) :) Their parents are great and each of these little girls are so sweet and polite. Definitely a gift from God.

Speaking of friends, I made a bunch of these little gift bags as an assignment for Emma's Paperie and then gave them to my sweet friend at home before we moved. (I miss you all!!!) I have to tell you, these Linder chocolates I put in the bags were heavenly!!! I may have tested 1, or 2, or 25. LOL I wish they sold this flavor at other times other than spring. I may have to do some research.
I hope your week is unbelievable! I am so thankful for all of you. Thank you for stopping by!

Drive by

Good morning everyone!

Just a quick post today. Too many things piling up on me today. First I wanted to start by saying thank you to everyone who left me sweet comments yesterday. You don't know how much your words of encouragement mean to me.

Yesterday was project day over at Emma's. Oh how I have missed those days. I look forward to this day every week. I just love seeing all the amazing projects everyone creates. This week we had this fabulous sketch by Jess.
And here is my interpretation of that sketch.
Thank you so much for stopping in today! Have a fabulous day!

Feeling Disjointed

Morning Sunshine!

Despite my title I am loving our new home and new city, although I have not been out much yet. I do have to admit though, I am feeling a little lost. Most likely, it is the result of not feeling a strong connection to God right now. We have not found "the right" church yet, I am not involved in a bible study and have not taken much time to pick up my bible. I need to do something about that.

I am also a very social person and have not made a real friends yet. I know that will come in time but right now I am feeling lonely now that kids are at school.

As for school, I happy to say that the girls really seem to be enjoying their new classes. They come home talking about several different children in their classes, love their teachers and have had a very positive attitude about everything. I can't tell you how thankful I am for this. I truly believe that their school experience is an integral part of how they view living in Bloomington.

Anyway, as promised, I have another project to share with you. I created this layout of my sweet niece. I still have a zillion and three photos (only a slight exaggeration-LOL) of my girls but there is something special about scrapping baby photos.

Have a fabulous day everyone!!!

It's the small things

I am finding as I get older, that I appreciate the little things a lot more. Life really is all about the details, the smell of my girls' hair right after they take a shower, holding hands, the sound of giggles as my two little cuties are playing. I really cherish these things. That is why I fell in love with this house too. The cool iron rungs on the banister, the detailed frames on all of the mirrors and the fact that we can look out our back window and see deer stopping to have a snack in our back yard.

I love all those little details when it comes to cards and layouts too. I created this card for a contest over at Magistical Memories. Sue posted a picture of this cute pillow as inspiration and I fell in love with the stitching on the leaves. There is still time to enter the contest for a chance at some fabulous chipboard. Here is the card I created using the inspiration piece.

Have a spectacular Tuesday. My wish for you today is that you find joy in all the little things.

Back to Normal?

Not that things are ever NORMAL around here. LOL :)

The kids started at their new schools today. Although K had a hard time going to sleep last night everyone was very excited to go to school today. They are actually attending two different schools. L's school is K-2 and K's is grades 3-5. Their teachers seem very sweet too. I am looking forward to them getting home so I can tell me about their day.

I am happy to say, thanks to my parents and DH's parents we are almost unpacked. I started my craft room yesterday and my dad is installing shelves for me as I type (sweet guy) :) I can't wait to get it all organized so I can get back to work.

As promised last week, I have lots of goodies to show you. I am going to spread them out over the next few days. I completed all these projects right before me moved. I did this mini album as an assignment for Magistical Memories. I used the Fancy Book Plate Book and some of my favorite recent pictures of K for this project.

Back Home!!!!

Happy Thursday everyone!

Oh how I have missed all of you!!!! We are finally back home from our trip to Hawaii. We still have a ton of boxes to unpack and I can't even see my scrap room!

I thought I would take just a few minutes to share some of my favorite pictures from our trip with you.

One of our first days there we went on a whale watching trip. It is the end of the season but we still got to see several whales. I got this picture of the girls on the boat.

As a surprise for the girls we arranged to have them swim with the dolphins. They had such a great time and their instructor was really sweet.

.
.

We also took time to go see some gorgeous waterfalls and walk through the rain forest.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was the trip that we took to the volcano. There are several different craters on the big island and they have a hiking trail through one of the smaller ones. It was about a three mile hike that went around the top of the crater and then through the center of this crater.
.
.
Then after the sun started to set we went to the South side of the island to see the lava flow into the ocean. It was much cooler than any of the pictures I got showed.
As you can see we didn't do a whole lot of sitting by the pool or on the beach but it was a wonderful trip none the less. :)
.
Please check back in the next few days. I have a ton of projects that I am finally able to share with you. Until then, thank you for stopping by!
