Such a square

Probably in more ways than one. LOL Do you remember 4 square? We used to play all the time when I was a kid. The girls have been talking DH and I into playing lately. I have to admit it has been fun. We have also been playing kickball in the backyard. That was definitely one of my favorite games growing up. I was that girl with the scraggly pony-tail playing kickball with the boys. Still love the game. Sadly, I am not so fast anymore. So what was your favorite game as a kid?

It has been so beautiful outside that I have not been doing much scrapbooking or card making. DH and I did plant a new tree in our backyard this weekend and I am so happy with how it looks.

I did manage to get a card done. I added some texturizer to my acrylic paint to make the trunk and top of the tree look more realistic. After painting the trunk, I used a toothpick to add the lines for the bark.

I hope you have a fabulous week and thanks for stopping by.

I used to LOVE to play kickball! I still remember the smell of that red ball and the sound it would make when you really connected with it.

Cute Lisa! I have always been a softball player. When we were growing up we actually had a "baseball diamond" in our front yard-worn so pots in the grass that marked the bases and pitcher's mound. We played every day until one day when my sister pulled an inside pitch and hit it through our neighbor's window. We then were banished to the real field across the street!
Love the card!TFS!

Hmmmm...fave childhood game? I used to love playing jump rope - you know - with two people turning the rope and one jumping in? Oftentimes, my younger brother and I would tie one end to the light pole near our house and play that way. I also used to LOVE to rollerskate.

Love your sweet card - very creative! :)

I love how you used the texturizer on the card! I was also the girl with the scraggly ponytail playing kickball with the boys...and football and basketball and any other sport we could possibly do outside!

What a cute card, Lisa! Love what you did with the paint on the tree trunk. Very, very clever!
I used to love 4 square, too. That and handball were my favorite recess games. I still play 4 square with my kiddos now. They love it, too.
