Glorious Weekend

WOW what an amazing weekend! The weather was incredible and we took full advantage of it. Saturday was soccer day as usual, but this weekend was playoff weekend. I am sad to say that both girls were eliminated in their first game. Lauren's game wasn't so close. Katie's team did an amazing job. I have never seen those girls play so tough. The score was tied until about three minutes left and the other team scored a goal. If it hadn't been for two goal kicks (because we accidentally touched the ball in the goalie box) we would have won. I haven't heard who won but I would not be surprised if this team won.

The good news is that because we didn't have second soccer games in the afternoon we were able to go to the Fall Festival at church. They had pumpkin decorating, hay rides, apple bobbing, bonfire with smores, you name it. The children's ministry team did such a great job and the girls had a blast.

Yesterday DH and I took the girls to southern Indiana and we went hiking. I got a couple good pictures that I will share as soon as I get them loaded. We found a beautiful park and hiked for about two hours. We found a nice little local restaurant for dinner afterward. I think the girls really worked up an appetite. Both of them had about a half rack of ribs, salad and potato I swear!

I plan on working on a project for Cindy at Emma's Paperie today that I will hopefully be able to share with you soon. In the meantime here is one of the layouts I created for Memory Makers' latest call. Even though this one didn't get picked up I absolutely love it. We took the pictures last year at my mom's house.

Have a great week!

Hi Lisa! I love your Easter page! I am always a big fan of a good grid design, and love your with the slight angles you gave to the photos. It's a wonderful page. And it sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. I just love this time of year. The weather is always so perfect.
