My Camper

Missing this girl terribly!

This week the 5th graders went to camp in Northern Indiana.  They left early yesterday morning and will get back today in time to be picked up from school.  I know it was only one night but it seems like she has been gone for-e-ver!  I think my problem is that I really don't know any of the chaperones.  The good news is that we did NOT get a call last night so I do feel better. :)  She is just such a lively, spunky part of our family, it seems so quiet around here last night.

We had another wonderful weekend.  We spent the weekend in Bloomington with friends.  Saturday morning we left early so we could tailgate with friends before the IU football game.  Then spent the evening at L's best friends house with her family.  Last year we has football season tickets with them and got to be very good friends with their family.  Sunday afternoon we headed back to our old neighborhood to spend time with all those sweet neighbors we miss so very much.  I have to say, it is still terribly hard to leave.  I miss spending time with them.

On that note, I have a project to share with you.  I decided it was time to create a mini album for the girls with pictures of some of their closest friends from Bloomington.  Our assignment for last week for Emma's Paperie was to focus on chipboard.  I found this stunning album from 7 Gypsies to use as my base. I embellished it with a paper doily, some hand cut pattern paper, lace and other goodies.

For the inside I used the same background design on each page and then varied the embellishments and extra details based on the photo size.

This is L and the best friend I talked about earlier.  :)  Love this sweet girl!

This sweet girl actually has family that lives here in town.  Hoping to get to see her and her parents the next time they come to town.  You couldn't ask for a sweeter friend for K.  :)

You can find a list of supplies and the other designer's amazing chipboard projects on the Emma's Paperie Blog

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!  I hope your week is fabulous!

Beautiful album, Lisa! I know the pain of having your daughter away. My daughter is also in 5th grade and went to sleep away camp for the first time this summer. I didn't know what to do with myself. LOL!
