This Child

Hi everyone!  Hope you all had a wonderfully relaxing weekend.  My weekend was quite relaxing but now I am paying for it. :)  LOTS of cleaning and laundry is on the agenda for today.
I got to spend Saturday night with this amazing girl.

K enjoys scrapbooking quite a bit but doesn't sit down and scrap with me that often, mostly because she enjoys spending time with her little sister who does NOT enjoy scrapbooking.  L does enjoy drawing so sometimes we can get her to draw while we scrapbook.

I really enjoyed our time together, although I did not get a whole lot done.  I did complete 3 cards, two of which you can see on the Creative Charms blog today.  I would love if you would stop by and let me know what you think.  While I only completed two cards, K finished an entire mini album about her friends in Bloomington.  It was the perfect time for her to work on this album.  She has started to make lots of new friends here and so the process was not too painful.  I have to say, she really makes me proud.  She has really grown to be such an amazing kid.  She has adapted so well to this move.  Her grades are better than ever, even managing to do extremely well in an advanced math class.  She has found a group of fabulous girls who really seem to have their heads on straight and know what is important.  I can't tell you how proud I am of her!

If you are familiar with my blog, you may know that K is my sporty child.  She would sit and watch ESPN with her dad all day if I let her.  :)  Before we moved this last time K had been quite involved with swimming.  She started swimming when she was 4 and joined her first swim team when she was 8.  I have been trying to catch up on some older photos that I never scrapped.  The Challenge Me Happy blog has proved to be the perfect motivator for me.  I found these photos from one of K's swim banquets in Carmel (two moves ago).  The challenge was to use 1 piece of cardstock, 2 photos, 3 different kinds of alphas, 4 differnt pattern papers, 5 buttons and 6 staples.

Make sure to check the Challenge Me Happy Blog this week.  There is a new challenge coming in the next day or two with prizes from a brand new sponser as well as lots of great inspiration by the team!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope your week is amazing!

Very cute, Lisa!

And I envy you that you have a child that loves to scrapbook! My little guy is five and doesn't even like to color yet! LOL
(but he DOES loooove to go with Mommy to the scrapbook store and flirt with the pretty ladies there! LOL)
You are blessed :)

How very, very cool that you got to spend an evening scrapbooking with your daughter! I SO wish mine would be interested in papercrafting, but it just isn't her thing. :) I'm so, so glad that you all are adjusting well to the new move. That's hard on the kids, but it sounds like yours are doing really well.
Love your sweet swim page. The red and blue combo is awesome. Love it mixed with the kraft background. :)
