I love Pink

Ha! I never thought I would have said that! That is what having doing two girls will do to you. I had never really been a pink, frilly girl. I was a tomboy growing up. My best friend all the way up to 4th or 5th grade was a boy. In fact when I was pregnant with my first DD I asked people NOT to buy her pink. Her room was adorable but it was done in primary colors (think large crayons that ran the height of one wall.) Have you seen my daughters lately? Would you like to look in their closets? Pink is all you will find! Needless to say, I no longer have a problem with pink. It's a good thing too because the challenge color this month at Emma's Paperie was pink. And WOW I am in love! The projects are just amazing! I am so excited that my dear, sweet friend Sarah is joining us as the guest designer this month.

For the project this month I made a Notepad Gift Set. I acutally used one of the mini boxes from Creative Imaginations and just left the top up. Everything for the Gift Set is from Emma's Paperie.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Rain, rain go away

Morning!

I don't know what the weather is like there but is dreary here. I have a project to share to brighten your day a little bit. As most of you know, October is breast cancer awareness month. Emma's Paperie is selling an amazing kit this month in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. $5 from each kit will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This kit is stunning and I really enjoyed working with it. You can find out more about the contents and order your kit here. Here is a tin and card I created using this amazing kit. To see full instructions you can visit the Emma's Paperie blog.

Have a fantastic day!

Lions and Tigers and Bears...Oh my!

Ok, so we don't have lions, or tigers at our zoo. As a matter of fact, we don't even have bears but we do have Elephants and Lemurs and giraffes. LOL Anyway, I wanted to share a few pictures from our trip to the zoo last week with Kimber and her kids. Aren't they cuties?

Have a great day!

Odd Bird Challenge!
Did you know there are only 82 days until Christmas?!? If you are anything like me, Christmas gets to be a pretty hectic time. I always plan to make all of these hand made cards and then run out of time. So let's get a jump on the game. My challenge to you is to create a Christmas card (please no previously made cards) post it on-line and then leave me a comment telling me where to find it. Remember, this is for the Odd Bird Stamp prizes listed above. The more cards you make, the more chances you have to win.

Here is a sample to get your juices flowing.

I added stickles to the berries and used my green gelly roller on the leaves.

Have fun!

I am out of here for the night. You have until midnight tomorrow night to post your Odd Bird Planet challenge and midnight tonight for the other two. Have a wonderful weekend!

If you can't find my children, they are probably buried under books

Hi everyone!

I had so much fun helping out at the bookfair yesterday. Those kids are just so sweet. I have to say though, some moms are a lot nicer than me. :) The kids come in with $10 from mom and dad and proceed to buy erasers shaped like lunchables, pencils the size as my arms, and fuzzy pens. I (the mean mom that I am) expect my kids to buy books at the bookfair. :O Actually, I told the girls that I wasn't going to get them any books because I just ordered a bunch from the book order. Then I saw this:

Katie loves these Laurie Anderson books and she has been dying to read this one. Everytime we try to check it out of the library though, it has already checked out. Now tell me how can I NOT get her this book. Besides that Lauren got to come in and "shop" while I was there. Keep in mind she has no money she is just supposed to be looking around. EXCEPT her (very mean) mom is in there working. Have I mentioned I used to teach? Have I mentioned that I LOVE books? Have I mentioned that I had close to 1,000 books for my classroom library before I ever even had kids? Ummm.....yah....she got a book too.

I am sorry to say that I don't have any projects to share today. I have found a few minutes here and there to get some crafting in but I can't share quite yet. I can say that I got this month's Lime Tart kit! :) Yummy, yum, yum!!!! I will share a peek of my completed projects as soon as I get pictures but for now here is a peek at two of the three kits.

Elvis is in the house!

It is true. Elvis is alive. LOL I posted the other day that our associate pastor dressed up as Elvis for the church car hop this weekend and Denine wanted to know if I had a picture. So this is for you sweetie. Enjoy! :)

I also have a project to share with you. This week we were challenged at Emma's Paperie to use these cute kraft gift boxes. Once again I am amazed with all the gorgeous creations everyone came up with. You can check them out on Emma's Paperie Blog. Here is my gift box and matching card.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
