Happy Halloween everyone!
You still have one more day for the Creative Charms blog hop prizes. I will choose my winners tomorrow morning. Scroll down to the next post for information on the hop. Thanks so much to all the sweet woman that posted comments this weekend. I truly appreciate all of your kind words.
We had a fun weekend. One of the neighbors had a Halloween Party on Saturday. We were able to get a few pictures of the girls before we made our way over there. I knew that the costumes may not completely make it through the night unscathed. As my post title suggests, this post is about using your imagination. Every year the girls and I try to come up with costumes we can create instead of buying one from the store. Last year we made and exception for K because the Greek Goddess had a special meaning to her after all of their studies about Greek culture at school. So this year L chose to be a zombie baby.
And K is going to be a Laundry Basket. She definitely strives to come up with the most creative costume she can find.
These children definitely belong to a mom who takes lots of pictures. They have learned to ham it up for the camera. LOL
Their creativity and ability to be imaginative is one of my favorite traits of my girls. They don't get to watch a whole lot of TV or play many video games, mostly because they are quite busy but I also think it is much better for them to use their brains to entertain themselves. Last night they created a dance to Francesca Battistelli's song Emily. Wish I had recorded it. We may have to recreate it tonight. If you have girls (or even if you don't!) I highly recommend that you check out Francesca's music. She is such an amazing role model and wonderful singer. You can check out a YouTube video of the song they performed here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CivymGZNOE
Sticking to the theme for today, now it is your turn to use your imagination. I finally have my computer back up and running (had to completely wipe it out and start from scratch) but while it was down I had to still take photos of my projects for Emma's Paperie. Along with the fact that my computer was down (couldn't edit my photos AT ALL), my camera is in the shop. Needless to say, this is definitely NOT the best photo I have taken of my work. So, please use your imagination. It really is a cute card, I promise.
The inside says, "Life isn't as bright without you." You can see my sketch, supply list and the other designers' fabulous takes on the sketch by visiting the Emma's Paperie Blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a safe Halloween!
