Mammoth Adventures Part 2

Good morning everyone!!!
.
I have more pictures from our trip to share with you this morning. We spent this last Sunday at Mammoth Cave National Park. We had a 3 hour cave tour in the morning and then planned on spending the afternoon hiking.
.

I actually decided not to take my camera on the cave tour. One of the cool parts of the tour was that we went back deep into the cave where there were no electric lights. The majority of the tour was lit by laterns and there was no flash photography so I decided not to lug my camera. It was such a great tour and we learned so much about the caves. I am glad we chose to take one of the longer tours and both girls loved it as well. I was a little concerned about L, she is not as much of a nature/history buff as K, but she had a good time too.
.

.
We didn't actually spend the afternoon hiking like we had planned. We did one quick trail around the visitor's center after the cave tour. It was so insanely hot that we decided to go back hotel, swim, and then go back to the park later after it cooled down.
.

.
The picture above was taken at the mouth of the cave. The cold air from the cave made it a
great place to cool off.
.
I have one card to share with you today. I created this card using the chandelier chipboard piece from Magistical Memories. I just love the details that Crystle adds to these chipboard pieces.
.
Speaking of Magistical Memories, did you know that there is a monthly contest and challenges that give you a chance to win some of this great chipboard? This month's contest is to create a layout or project in which you draw inspiration from your country's state flag. Check out the details.
.

.
I also wanted to take this chance to remind you to stop by Creative Charms and pick up the Deal of the month. It is such a great deal. You get $23 worth of product for just $6.99!
.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Stop by in the next day or two and I will have my contest layout to share with you.

Looks like you had a great time! I love it there. My parents used to take us camping there every summer for what seemed like weeks! But I'm sure it was more like a weekend! ;) I loved the tours and swimming all day, feeling like such a big kid when my mom let me walk to the gift shop by myself, haha! Thanks for the trip down memory lane! :) I can't wait to take my kids there in a few years!
Love your chandelier card, adorable!!

Oh, that cave tour sounds like such an awesome adventure. I've had the chance to visit a smaller cave in California and found it to be so absolutely amazing. So glad the girls enjoyed it.
Love your adorable chandelier card, too. Love the bright papers mixed with the black of the chipboard. Makes it totally pop.
