Let's Celebrate

As I sit here I can hear the girls downstairs singing "glooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-riaaaaa"as they work on one of the presents they received for Christmas. I am so happy to have them home with me. I may go into withdrawals come Monday.

We had such a wonderful New Years. We spent the holiday at my in-laws, ringing in the New Year with family. Such a great way to celebrate. Lots of games and laughing and spending time with the ones we love. Brianne, no longer the youngest, cracked me up with all her antics. Trying to keep all the big girl toys out of the tiny little hands of my niece who is about 18 months and just relaxing and having a good time.

I know why people make New Year's Resolutions to lose weight. I don't even want to touch another cookie or dessert. I am still stuffed from all the good food. My New Years resolution is to work on my organization. I used to be extremely organized before I had the girls but things have just slid since then. My craft room is clean and organized and I love it this way. I am really going to try and keep it this way. We really need to clean and organize our storage room in the basement for you.

So here is the celebration part. I want to not only celebrate a fresh, new year but over the holidays I hit 5000 visitors! So leave me a comment and tell me what your New Year's resolutions are. If you have none, that is fine just tell me that. I will pick two people to receive $25 worth of Odd Bird Planet stamps (your choice). I will also throw in a Bazzill 6 x 12 album for each and a few other goodies. You have until Monday to leave me a comment.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Lisa--I used to be organized too! I'm not quite sure what happened, but that is going to be my #1 priority for 2009. To get re-organized...and stay that way!
Happy New Year!

As I think you know, I usually don't make New Year resolutions, but this year having Carter and all I decided to go for it...I want PEACE in my life and to feel it in my soul and whatever I need to do in order to achieve that is what I'm going to try to do...organization, cutting back on the things that I think I have to do and doing the things that I want to do, living more simply and just enjoying everyday happenings.
Boy, I sure aim high, huh?!!
Happy New Year to you all!!!

I have a few resolutions this year. One, yup, to lose weight that I gained this past final semester of school. I also resolve to get a hospital job before February. Finally, I want to move on with my life, and seek someone who will fill the whole that my divorce left me with. I want that companionship again.

Happy New Year Lisa!

Hi Lisa, happy new year to you! Best of luck with the organization, one thing that helped me was HGTV's motto-3 bins-one to keep, one for trash, one to give away. The one to keep is the only one you have to find homes/organization for.

My new years resolution is to live simply - within my means, without too much on the schedule, and without worry. Really, it's more a goal than a resolution, so it's okay if I have to work towards it! contrats on all the visitors!

Lisa, thanks for the thoughts and prayers! Hannah is getting better every day, thank the Lord.
Congrats on 5000 hits. I always enjoy your blog :)

My new years's Resolutions are:
-to spend less money, and save more
-to spend more time at home, run around town less and have quality family time every chance I get
-make use of my "Thursday night cleaning night" so I can clean less through the weekend
-to do more scrapbooking and creative stuff
-to do more for others and let them know how much they are appreciated

Have a wonderful New Year!

Hi Lisa! I don't do resolutions, but I do have few things I want to work on this year, and yes, organizing better is one of them. Another is trying to stop let other people's actions or attitudes steal my joy! Happy New Year! Becky

Hi Lisa! You are so sweet, I love reading your blog. I am the same way about going through withdrawls when the kids go back to school. So much fun having them home. Could you post a picture of your scraproom? Is it a bedroom or basement room? My resolution is to get back to the gym, and also get organized! We moved, and I am more disorganized than ever! More space means you just can't find anything!! Have a great day!

My goal this year is to make a little more time for myself and not to stress about what doesn't get done.
