Roller coaster

Last night I was fortunate enough to get to attend a concert with a friend. Not only was Casting Crowns going to performing but they brought Matthew West with them. What an amazing concert! This is my second time seeing Casting Crowns. One of the things I love most about their concerts, besides the amazing music of course, is that Mark Hall, the lead singer is such a great speaker. There is a kind of spiritual high that you feel when you attend one of these concerts. You feel closer to God. One of his messages last night though was about not basing your relationship with God on those feelings because we all have highs and lows. Instead we need to base our relationship with God on who He is.

So...I wake up this morning still feeling great, all is right with the world and the crash. I posted a few weeks ago about how much I love Simple Stories products. I decided to try out for the team. They announced their new, very talented team this morning and I was not included. It hurts. There is no denying how disappointed I was. I am going to keep my eye on what is important though and move on (and maybe find a really big piece of chocolate cake! haha)

I am very proud of the layouts I created for this call and thought I would share one of them with you today.

I realize I am also late with announcing the winner of my sketch challenge. I threw everyone's name in a hat and The winner is Ruza! Thank you so much for playing along. Email me your address and I will get your prize to you right away.

May I join you in that piece of chocolate cake, Lisa? :) I didn't make the team either. I'm glad I pushed myself and tried but the disappointment still hurts, that's for sure. So now I'm dusting myself off and trying for the My Little Shoebox and Little Yellow Bicycle teams. LOL! Your LO is beautiful, colorful and so happy. I really love the banner. Oh, and I love Casting Crowns too, especially their holiday CD. Hugs to you!

Aw, I'm sorry sweets. This industry is so tough. If I were closer, I would bring you cake and share it with you ;). Meanwhile, this layout is quite possibly my favorite of yours EVER so consider the bright side that the call pushed you to make something absolutely amazing (and you need to submit it everywhere ;). Hugs! XOXO

PS That comment was from me (Lisa VanderVeen). It didn't ask for my name.

Sorry about not making the design team. They don't know what they are missing! I love the layout you posted. I have been a big fan of your work for years! Please keep posting your scrapbook pages as I really enjoy seeing them and getting lots of great ideas.

As they say--when one door closes, another one opens. But it does hurt. Your work is always lovely. I'm sure something else will come along. In the meantime, chocolate does help cure the ills!

I'm sorry Lisa. I agree with Charlene, when one door opens it only brings room for another one to open to a opportunity you didn't know existed. You will find one, you are very talented!!!!!! I love your layout!

I'm sorry about not making the team. It hurts, I know. But I think you ROCK!

Also, LOVE Casting Crowns! Saw them at Conseco in 2005. How exciting!

It is their loss, for sure, Lisa. I am a huge fan of your work, girl, and I love following your blog too. You are a sweet person and very talented too. Hang in there. P.S. It will be a long time 'til I try out for another team again after the BG disappointment. LOL!
