Oh the weather outside is frightful

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

The girls got their snow day today. I guess I should have seen it coming. K's teacher has 30+ years of experience and when she sends books home (just in case) I should probably trust her judgement. :) Planning ahead last night I even turned off the girls' alarms so they could sleep in. Um...yah...that worked so well. At 7:38 K starts yelling from upstairs, "Mom, get up! Our alarms didn't go off!" So much for sleeping in.

Now I have a dilemma. I am supposed to spend the weekend scrapbooking with friends, but if the snow continues like it is supposed to there is no way I can drive up there. I had planned on spending the day packing my stuff and planning my projects. I hate unpacking (Bleckkkk!) so that would stink to pack up and then not get to go. What to do? What to do?
I do have a wintery project to share with you this morning. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I love mini albums and end up buying more that I could ever use. So I have started trying to find creative ways to use those mini albums. For this project I used the circle album of the Girl mini albums kit by KaiserCraft.
To create this little guy.
You can check out the Emma's Paperie blog for a list of supplies and instructions. Have a great day and stay warm!

Such a clever way to use your minibook!!! I tend to collect them too, so thanks for the inspiration! As for the weekend, maybe plan out your layouts and if the weather doesn't cooperate, you can spend the weekend scrapping at home? Not sure, but I know what you mean about unpacking.

OMG, is he stinkin' cute or what??!!
LOVE that snowman, Lisa! SO clever!
Hope you get to get away for your scrappy weekend. We got up early today, as usual, and I sent my son out to the bus at 6:20.......and he comes back saying nobody is there. I check the news and we have a 2 hour delay, but NO snow. Could have slept in, gosh darn it all. ;)

I know what you mean about the snow question. I too am wrestling with packing up for it all to sit here while it snows on our movers next Friday. I hope they change this forecast (but we get snow every week here lately, so probably not.) Love that little snowman, J is so into snowmen, he would love this!
