A quick post today. I am helping out in L's class tomorrow morning for her fall party. I am looking forward to spending time with her class. Tomorrow afternoon we get to meet their new doctor for a well check-up. Keep your fingers crossed for us. I dread finding new doctors when we move but this doctor has come highly recommended so I am sure she will be good. So I am going to be short on time and thought I would post a quick post tonight.
.
I did want to share two more Halloween projects with you. Both of these projects use chipboard from Magistical Memories. The first is a take out container that I made for L's teacher using the Caught in a Web chipboard that I cut to fit the corner of the take out box. I painted it and covered it with white glitter. I then attached a tag and used one of the bats from the Gone Batty set. All the paper is from Basic Grey and the tag is from Pink Paislee. I attached googly eyes to the circles on the top .
For this second card I used several different chipboard pieces. The outside is the Web Frame from Magistical Memories. I just altered it a bit by cutting off the spider. After painting the frame purple I stamped a black leaf pattern all over the frame. The bat is also from the Gone Batty set. The pattern paper is Making Memories and the tag is from Pink Paislee.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Less than a week til Halloween
Are you ready? We still have some last minute things to get to finish the girls costumes up. We have plenty of candy. Er....we had plenty of candy. That chocolate seems to be disappearing! LOL
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! The majority of our weekend was spent on the soccer sidelines. L had a game on Saturday morning (it was a tad bit chilly) and K had a tournament on Sunday. The girls won all of their games and L scored a goal in her game. K had probably her best games of the season too. Saturday afternoon we spent the afternoon help clean up the yard at a local school with a group from church and Sunday night the girls and I went to a wonderful class our church has been holding for young girls. I am not sure if I mentioned it before but I am loving it. The girls meet in one room and talk about issues pertaining to girls while the moms are studying a book called "5 Conversations You Must Have with Your Daughter" by Vicky Courtney. If you have a daughter I highly recommend this book!
I wanted to share a couple of Halloween cards with you today. The first one uses one of my favorite Martha Stewart punches. I absolutely love the Drippy Goo punch that I used for the green slime on the top of the cauldron. I created the bubbles by punching different size circles out of cardstock and pp. The tags on both cards are from Pink Paislee. Just love those tags!
Besides the Pink Paislee tags I used the a green glitter star and mummy from the Boo to You set from My Mind's Eye. Pattern papers are from Pink Paislee and Bo Bunny.

Coming home
.
Yayyyyy, my sweet 5th grader is coming home today! She has spent the last 2 1/2 days at a camp with her class. The weather has been gorgeous and I know she has had a wonderful time but I am anxiously awaiting 12:15. One of the moms has planned a lunch at Steak n' Shake so the kids can share their stories. So we will attend that, but truth be told, I would rather get her home and spend some quiet time with her.
.
The sniffles and yuck have been going around town. Over 150 kids were out sick last Friday at the middle school, many with H1N1. We have been lucky so far but we have had the sniffles and headaches at our house. I was feeling pretty under the weather the last few days. Please keep us in your prayers that H1N1 passes us by. With K spending so much time with these kids, many of who have siblings at the middle school, I am worried.
.
I have another card to share with you today. All the lovely papers on here are from Collage Press, the flowers and rhinestones are Prima and I found that beautiful lace at JoAnn's.

Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!

Oh Wow
.
.
One of our associate pastors was talking this morning about his 14 month old grandson and how he has discovered fall. He looks up at the trees and just says "Oh wow." His message was how we need to step back, slow down and take time to be wowed. So what wows you? I would love to hear.
.I have had so many wows in my life. One of the most wonderful wows is the way God is constantly working in our lives. Each time we leave a church due to a move I am sure that we are never going to find another church as wonderful as the last. Yet, ever time it happens. They are never the same but that is what so amazingly perfect about it. Our new church is turning out to be exactly what we need in our life right now. The girls and I are attending a Sunday night class. It is called 2BeMe. The girls are in one room talking about how to be yourself in a society where everyone is telling you how you should look and act. The moms are in another room talking about raising girls in this society and the coversations we need to be having with them. The content is wonderful but we are all meeting people and building relationships too.
.A completely different wow is the reaction I had looking at all the amazing Halloween projects on the Emma's blog this week. I mean SERIOUSLY, have taken a look at them? Wow, Wow, Wow. For this week's assignment I decided to make a candy bar wrap. All the supplies can be found on the Emma's blog. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
..
Have a great week!

Waking to the sound...
of the alarm system. Yes, that is the wonderful sound I got to wake to this morning. Not the peacefull sounds of birds or the giggles of my girls but shrill, piercing screams resonating through the house. LOL I do have to say, it definitely got my attention. :) Turns out we accidently set the motion detectors on the alarm system last night and so when DH got up this morning the alarm went off.
.
I also learned alot about search engines this morning. I volunteered in the computer lab with my fifth grader's class. It is amazing all the different ways kids have found to delay doing their assignments. Did you know that you can open up 4 google screens on one screen at a time? Or that you can google backwards? Yep, I learned information that is sure to take me far in life. LOL
.
.
I have been scrapping my little heart out creating a bunch of cards and other paper crafts but I cannot share them with you right now. :( Oh how I would love to share them. I do have a different project to share with you today.
This is my youngest with my sweet niece who is now 18 months. Time flies doesn't it?
.
Magistical Memories dragonfly that I covered with glitter and added pearl stickers to and lots of yummy Prima flowers.

Hope your weekend is warm and sunny. Thanks for stopping by!

Love these papers
Every once in a while a scrapbook company comes along that you fall head over heals for. That is the way I feel about Collage Press. I have loved their products for such a long time. I found out yesterday that they are looking for some new members for their design team. How could I not try out?
.
In honor of the call I thought I would share one of my favorite recent Collage Press projects.

I created this card using several of of their gorgeous papers. The calendar is one of their journaling cards. I really need to get some more of these, I am dangerously close to running out! I added punched, inked, red hearts to each of the calendar squares. In case you can't tell from the picture the blue flowers on the right are pop dotted for extra dimension.
.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your week is truly blessed!
Crisp mornings
Have I mentioned that fall is my favorite time of year? OK, so you may hear me say it again. :) The weather this morning was absolutely perfect. It was about 50 degrees (perfect sweater weather), the sun was shining and the leaves are starting to turn colors. After all the rain we had at the end of last week, I was ready for that sun. :)
I have a hard time passing up such a beautiful backdrop. :)
.
.
We had a glorious weekend. Due to all the rain last week the girls soccer games were cancelled on Saturday. I absolutely LOVE watching them play but I have to admit it was kind of nice having the morning off. We slept in, the girls played and read a lot (thanks to the read-a-thon). That afternoon we decided to take the girls to a multicultural festival that was going on in town.
.I have a hard time passing up such a beautiful backdrop. :)
.
The girls got to do lots of different crafts: making clay bowls
They also had a stage where we heard different types of music along with various types of ethnic dancers. The perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
.
.
On the way home we ran a couple of errands and then caught the afternoon matinee of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. I have loved this book since I used it with my second grade classes years ago. It has been a favorite with my girls as well. I highly recommend that you see it if you haven't. Very cute movie, even if it diverges from the book quite a bit.
.
Finally I have a quick mini album to share with you. I saw this bracket book a few months ago and thought it would make a cute purse. I few weeks ago I shared the sweet coupons my girls made for me for my birthday in this post. I decided to use this mini album to hold the coupons that the girls made.
You can find all supplies for this mini album on the Emma's Paperie blog.
Have a fabulous week and thanks for stopping by!

Doing what makes me happy
Happy Tuesday everyone,
.
Things have been busy, busy, busy but it is all good! I helped out yesterday at the Red Cross Book Sale and had a blast. I got to have the best job. I sat in the sun and greeted people as they came to the sale. Such a great experience!
.
Bible study today and working on lots of projects. My sweet friend Kimber is coming out with another book and I can't wait to see it, I am sure it will be fabulous. Some calls other calls to work, assignments to do and sending some projects off for publication. It is all good! Can't wait until I can share some of this with you.
.
Until then, how about a quick and easy Halloween project? I made this cute little tree last week using a spooky tree I found at Michael's and some adorable chipboard from My Mind's Eye. For a complete supply list and instructions check out the Emma's Paperie blog.

Have a fabulous day everyone!

So for the blog tour I decided to pull out some of my favorite fall goodies and create a card for you.
.
.
.
Both the circle and rectagular tags are from Pink Paislee The top pattern paper is called Liberty by 7 Gypsies and the bottom one is Warren, also by 7 Gypsies. I found some great fall decorations on sale last November at my local craft store and that is where I picked up the leaf and berries.
