Sew ready for Christmas

Happy Wednesday! It is hard to believe we are already half way to another weekend isn't it? I only have a few minutes to post. I get to go help out with a class of sweet second graders today. :)

It was project day again yesterday at Emma's. We were asked to make a Christmas project that included sewing and I had so much fun with this one! I made a mini album for my mom along with a decorated box to hold it. Each page has a picture that goes along with a different Christmas Carol.

I machine stitched the different sections of the tree and then distressed the the edges.

I also used floss on the cover to stitch the lace ribbon to the outside of the box. I really like this idea because I love putting ribbon around the edges of boxes but have a problem keeping it around the outside edges without it falling off. Although it was a little time consuming it wasn't bad and I love the way it looks.

This is the first page of the book which sits inside the box.

More stitching here. I stitched the pom pom ribbon to the page using floss. I also machine stitched the cardstock sticker to the mat.

Couple more pages.

There are actually two more pages but I don't pictures yet. There are lots and lots of goodies on here all from Emma's Paperie. You can check out the blog for a list of supplies I used and to see the other amazing projects everyone did. Seriously, they are jaw dropping! Wow!

Thanks for taking a peek and have an amazing day!

OMG absolutely ADORABLE! Love all that stitching. I'm too lazy to take the time to do all that stitching, but it sooooo looks worth the time. Might have to try it myself sometime!

Wow, Lisa! Love your mini! What a treasure! the stitching is fabulous. Love that you stitched on the trim on the box. Seems like it might be hard to get through, but it's just the perfect solution for keeping on that trim.
I'm off to check out the blog!
TFS!
