I am so blessed, I truly am. I have the best friends. Thank you so the sweet ladies who checked up on me to make sure everything was OK. We have just been very busy with other stuff and I haven't had a chance to blog.
Spring fever has hit our house hard! The weather has been unbelievable and my girls are having a hard time getting any studying done unless I let them do it on the trampoline. I am not kidding. LOL They take their books and folders out there and lay on the trampoline while they work. Well, sort of work. :)
I have been doing a bit of spring cleaning also. I have gone through all of my scrapbook paper and purged quite a bit. (sorry that photo is not great but you get the idea)
I am offering it to anyone who wants it for $20 (that price includes shipping). There are over 100 sheets of paper here. First person to let me know that they want it can have it.
I have also been working on getting blinds for my scrapbook room. I have needed them for some but have been putting it off. The sun gets so bad in here in the afternoon. We have the sweetest couple that we work with for window treatments in our home. Just love them. This is the sample that I have ordered. Pretty huh?
Since we are all anxiously awaiting summer, I thought I would share a summer layout with you today as well. Just love the summertime line from Simple Stories.
Have a wonderful week everyone and thank you so much for stopping by!

Out of Touch
Happy Monday Everyone!
I feel like I have been completely out of touch with the world for the last 5 days. We have our internet, cable and phone all bundled together. This works great when you get a discount and paying all with one check. Not so good when they dig up the line on the house they are building next door and you lose all your services. :P I am very thankful to have my internet service back! :)
This month the technique we are focusing on over at Emma's Paperie is stamping. I used two different sets of stamps on this layout. The squares below the photos were created using Nightfall texture stamps by American Crafts and the banner was created using the Love Banner Stamp set by Maya Road.
Lots of other goodies on here too. You can find the supply list here.

Hello Sunshine
Wow, what an absolutely glorious weekend, yesterday was especially beautiful. The temperatures hit 68 degrees yesterday and we took full advantage of it. The girls came in the house for only a few minutes here and there all day. They even made a few dollars washing cars.
We then got to spend dinner grilling out with neighbors. What a great way to end the weekend. Definitely looking forward to summer now.
This month we had a great sketch at Emma's provided by Sherry. Loved the lacy circles she incorporated in her sketch. I decided to create a gift bag using the sketch this month. You can find the sketch and supply list on the Emma's Paperie Blog. (the sketch is on the right hand side)
The winner of Kimber's book is:

Fresh and Fun Handmade Cards Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY!
Good morning everyone!
I am so excited to be a part of a very cool blog hop this morning. Several months ago Kimber asked me to contribute some cards to a new book she was creating called Fresh and Fun Handmade Cards. I absolutely love with the concept behind this book. All cards are shown as a basic card and then how you can step them up to make them interactive. The day has finally come and the book is officially in stores. You can find it at Amazon here.
I thought I would share one of the cards that I created for the book. The long strip of blue floral paper is machine stitched on three sides to create a pocket that holds a bookmark for the recipient of the card.
Now it is time to win a copy of this awesome book! All you have to do is leave a comment here and we will pick a from my blog on Monday to recieve a copy of the book, signed by Kimber. Then make sure you hop on the the incredibly talented Rae Barthel's blog for another chance to win.
Here is the line up in case you missed someone.

Rockin' and Rollin' weekend
Seems like every time I post about our weekends I am always saying how busy it was. See a trend here? LOL
This was definitely a fun one! One of the things I love so much about living here is the abundance of concerts that are offered, so many of them Christian artist that I can feel comfortable taking me girls to see. Saturday night there was a local Christian group by the name of Attaboy that performed after the basketball game. They have had a hit that is played quite often on the radio called Unshaken. K's best friend was able to come to the game with us as well as our neighbors who live across the street. The Mad Ants got tromped but it was fun anyway.
There was a group from the Pacers that were there performing during half time. The stunts were amazing. You have to look closely because of the crowd behind him.
The girls got up close to Attaboy while they were on stage. DH and I chose to stay in our comfy seats. I did get down close by the girls to get a few pictures though.
Sunday was the last official meet for L of the season (they have one fun meet at home in April). She had an awesome meet, making her best scores of the season in just about every event. So proud of my girl!
Not only did she score well her team got first place for the Championships! Congrats girls!!!
So, of course you have to do a celebratory pyramid! LOL
Have a wonderful week! Make sure to stop by on Friday for a special Blog Hop. We are giving away a signed copy of Kimber's new book!

Roller coaster
Last night I was fortunate enough to get to attend a concert with a friend. Not only was Casting Crowns going to performing but they brought Matthew West with them. What an amazing concert! This is my second time seeing Casting Crowns. One of the things I love most about their concerts, besides the amazing music of course, is that Mark Hall, the lead singer is such a great speaker. There is a kind of spiritual high that you feel when you attend one of these concerts. You feel closer to God. One of his messages last night though was about not basing your relationship with God on those feelings because we all have highs and lows. Instead we need to base our relationship with God on who He is.
So...I wake up this morning still feeling great, all is right with the world and the crash. I posted a few weeks ago about how much I love Simple Stories products. I decided to try out for the team. They announced their new, very talented team this morning and I was not included. It hurts. There is no denying how disappointed I was. I am going to keep my eye on what is important though and move on (and maybe find a really big piece of chocolate cake! haha)
I am very proud of the layouts I created for this call and thought I would share one of them with you today.
I realize I am also late with announcing the winner of my sketch challenge. I threw everyone's name in a hat and The winner is Ruza! Thank you so much for playing along. Email me your address and I will get your prize to you right away.
